Request for Coloring Contest
Coloring Page
In an effort to give children
an opportunity to Support our Troops and Honor Our Veterans, the
Morgan County Veterans Committee has decided to delegate our events
this fall directly to the children by holding a coloring contest.
This flyer was approved by
the school board on Sept. 27, 2007. We are asking children to COLOR
a page to show their patriotism. The spirit of Morgan County has
been stirred and united due to the efforts and sacrifices of our
hometown heroes. Please have your children reflect their feelings
down on paper by coloring and creating their own pictures and
messages. The emphasis should be on a positive response. We aim to
provide positive ways to demonstrate the importance of our
community’s most valuable asset – our children. America's children
have a lot to teach us as a nation standing together. History shows
that no matter how diligent we are in expressing our feelings as a
nation, that children more than often express our feelings in a more
powerful way. You have permission to photocopy as many copies as
you wish to hand out.
